Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy for Women Who Want to Feel More Like Themselves

When you’ve been the responsible one for so long, it’s easy to lose touch with your own needs. You show up for others, push through hard days, and keep everything running—but inside, you may feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or just tired.

Maybe you’re not in crisis, but something feels off. You’re functioning, but it’s taking more effort than it used to. You’re not sure where to start—you just know you don’t want to keep feeling this way.

Is This You?

   •   Are you constantly overthinking, second-guessing, or bracing for something to go wrong?

   •   Do you struggle with self-doubt, imposter syndrome, or the pressure to be perfect?

   •   Have your relationships started to feel one-sided, draining, or confusing?

   •   Are you emotionally exhausted—even if your life looks “fine” from the outside?

   •   Do you feel stuck in old patterns but unsure how to break them?

You don’t have to figure it all out alone.

Therapy offers a safe and confidential space to explore what’s going on beneath the surface and begin moving forward with more clarity, confidence, and self-trust.

Common Reasons Women Start Therapy

   •   Constant overthinking, anxiety, depression or emotional exhaustion

   •   Struggles with self-worth or a harsh inner critic

   •   People-pleasing, burnout, and difficulty setting boundaries

   •   Feeling stuck during a major life change or transition

   •   Relationship patterns that feel unfulfilling or confusing

   •   Perfectionism, fear of failure, or imposter syndrome

   •   The emotional impact of marginalization or cultural stress

   •   Wanting to feel more confident, grounded, and whole

What to Expect in Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is tailored to your needs—your goals, your pace, your experiences. It’s not about being fixed. It’s about giving yourself space to understand, grow, and move differently in the world.

Together, we might work on:

   •   Developing coping tools that reduce overwhelm and support nervous system regulation

   •   Understanding how your past impacts your present thoughts, emotions, and behaviors

   •   Building boundaries that align with your values and protect your emotional energy

   •   Processing stuck emotional pain and unmet needs with compassion and curiosity

   •   Increasing your self-trust, assertiveness, and capacity for emotional connection

You don’t have to have the “right words” or a clear plan before you start. Showing up is enough.

Therapy can be a space of relief—a confidential place to slow down, tell the truth, and reconnect with yourself. You don’t need to wait until things feel “bad enough” to begin. Wanting support is reason enough.

You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. You just have to be ready to begin.

Imagine If…

   •   …your anxiety no longer runs the show, and your mind feels calmer, more spacious, and in your control

   •   …you feel less burdened by the past, and more grounded in the present

   •   …your self-doubt gives way to a deeper trust in your voice, your instincts, and your boundaries

   •   …you feel free to take up space in your relationships without guilt or overthinking

   •   …you move through your days feeling emotionally steady, self-aware, and confident

Therapy won’t make your life perfect—but it can make it more yours.

FAQs About Individual Therapy

What Is Individual Therapy?

Individual therapy is a one-on-one process designed to support your emotional well-being, increase self-awareness, and help you create meaningful changes. It’s not about “fixing” you—it’s about creating space to understand and honor who you are, where you’ve been, and where you want to go.

How Can Therapy Help?

Therapy gives you the time, space, and tools to explore what’s been getting in your way—and to shift it. We’ll work together to understand the deeper patterns that keep you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of yourself, and begin to build healthier, more empowering ways of moving through life.

What happens in a session?

Sessions are typically 45-50 minutes long and may include conversation, skill-building, guided exercises, or EMDR processing, depending on your needs. My goal is always to meet you where you are.

How long will therapy take?

Everyone’s growth and healing timeline is different. Some clients work through specific issues in a few sessions; others choose ongoing support. We’ll decide together what feels right.

Do I have to talk about my past?

Only if and when you’re ready. Therapy can involve exploring past experiences that shaped your beliefs, but we always move at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.

Is this just for women?

Yes. I specialize in working with adult women who are navigating anxiety, identity, relationships, self-worth concerns and life transitions.

Where do you offer therapy?

I provide online therapy for women in Texas, Michigan, Missouri, Colorado, and South Carolina.
