EMDR Consultation

EMDR Certification Consultation & EMDR Case Consultation

Supporting Your Development as an EMDR Therapist

Becoming confident in EMDR takes time, curiosity, and a space to think clinically — not just technically. I offer consultation that invites thoughtful exploration, case reflection, and integration of EMDR with your authentic clinical voice.

Thoughtful, collaborative consultation for EMDR therapists who want to strengthen their clinical confidence, deepen their understanding of the AIP model, and continue growing as EMDR clinicians.

As an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and EMDRIA Consultant-in-Training (CIT), I provide consultation for therapists pursuing EMDRIA Certification as well as EMDR-trained clinicians seeking ongoing case consultation and professional development.

My Consultation Philosophy

I believe the best consultation is collaborative rather than intimidating.

My goal is not simply to evaluate your work, but to help you strengthen your clinical judgment, deepen your understanding of EMDR therapy, and develop confidence in your own decision-making.

Consultation is a space to ask questions, think critically, work through challenging cases, and continue developing your professional identity as an EMDR therapist.

My Consultation Approach

My consultation is:

  • Liberation-focused

  • Decolonization-focused

  • Trauma-informed

  • Neurodiversity-affirming

  • LGBTQIA+ affirming

  • Reflective

  • Collaborative

  • Strengths-based

EMDRIA Certification Consultation

If you’re pursuing EMDRIA Certification, consultation provides a supportive, structured environment to strengthen your clinical skills while meeting certification requirements.

Together we’ll focus on developing proficiency with EMDR therapy through thoughtful discussion, case conceptualization, reflective practice, and clinical decision-making.

Consultation may include:

  • Case conceptualization using the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) Model

  • Treatment planning

  • Target selection and sequencing

  • Client readiness

  • Working through blocked processing

  • The Eight Phases of EMDR Therapy

  • Clinical decision-making

  • Documentation

  • Ethical considerations

  • Building confidence and professional identity as an EMDR therapist

When appropriate, consultation may include review of recorded sessions, transcripts, or detailed case presentations consistent with current EMDRIA standards.

EMDR Case Consultation

Not every therapist seeking consultation is working toward certification.

Many EMDR therapists continue consultation throughout their careers to refine their clinical skills, receive feedback on challenging cases, and continue their professional development.

Case consultation is ideal if you are:

  • Feeling stuck with a client

  • Looking for support with treatment planning

  • Unsure how to conceptualize a case

  • Seeking feedback on clinical decision-making

  • Wanting to strengthen your confidence with EMDR

  • Looking for an experienced clinician to think alongside you

Please note that EMDR Case Consultation is designed for professional development and does not count toward EMDRIA credentialing.

Areas of Clinical Interest

I particularly enjoy consulting on cases involving:

  • Anxiety and high-functioning anxiety

  • Perfectionism

  • People-pleasing

  • Self-esteem

  • Boundaries

  • Adult attachment concerns

  • Relational trauma

  • Racial trauma

  • Emotionally immature family systems

  • Women’s mental health

  • Burnout and work-related stress

  • Life transitions
